Party Elects 106 Delegates
County Central Committee members and 106 local Democratic delegates are headed to the State Convention on March 9 – on Zoom. The Convention, originally scheduled for Ruidoso, has been converted to an electronic meeting to accommodate people from throughout the state. Delegates will vote to put candidates on the ballot and any resolutions or platform issues to come before the convention.
The 106 delegates (three from Ward 3C, who live in Congressional District 2) were unanimously approved at the County Convention on Feb. 25 at 1420 Cerrillos Rd. CD2 is represented by Gabe Vasquez. CD3 is represented by Teresa Leger Fernandez.
