How Do I Register to Vote? 

Online Voter Registration:

You can register online via the Secretary of State’s website here. October 6th is the last day to register online.

In Person Same Day Voter Registration at the County Clerk’s Office:

Begins October 7, 2020 and ends Saturday, October 31, 2020 (Photo ID Required), Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 31st only 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

How Do I Get and Use an Absentee Ballot? 

Important Dates:

  • Tuesday, October 6: Absentee ballots begin being mailed to those voters who have submitted their application.
  • ABSENTEE IN-PERSON VOTING
    • Tuesday, October 6 – Saturday, October 31

NEW LOCATION: Santa Fe Community Convention Center, 201 W. Marcy Street.

Voting hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Center is closed Monday, October 12, 2020 in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day.
The Santa Fe Convention Center will be open for voting on Saturday, October 31st only, but not the other Saturdays of early voting.

  • Tuesday, October 20, 2020: The last day that absentee ballot applications may be received by the County Clerk or the Secretary of State. Also the last day that the County Clerk’s office can mail out absentee ballots.
  • EARLY VOTING
    • Saturday, October 17 – Saturday, October 31

Voting hours are from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

  • Thursday, October 22, 2020: The recommended last date to put your completed absentee ballot in the mail. After that, play it safe. Hand deliver your ballot to any Voting Site.
  • ELECTION DAY
    • Tuesday, November 3, 2020, 7 AM – 7 PM

The deadline to be in line to vote or drop off your completed absentee ballot is 7 PM. If you did not mail in your completed absentee ballot, you can drop it off at the County Clerk’s office or any Election Day polling location. The County Clerk must receive your absentee ballot by 7 PM on November 3rd for it to be counted; postmark date is irrelevant.
