The effort to bring Santa Fe City government out of City Hall and into the community will reach District 4 on Wednesday, August 29, 5 – 10 PM, with a community council meeting at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.  Click here for more information.

The Exhibit Hall is located at 3229 Rodeo Road, next door to the Genoveva Chavez Community Center.

The program is the result of a push from Mayor Alan Webber and Councilor Roman Abeyta, who moved at the first council meeting of this administration to hold meetings out in the community on a periodic basis.

When the program was announced, Mayor Webber said, “Rather than constantly asking the community to come to us, the ‘Council on Your Corner’ meetings are a proactive effort to engage the community where they live. We had nearly 200 people come to our first edition, and we hope they will continue to be a popular way to make your voice heard in City government.”

By the end of the year, a Council on Your Corner meeting will have been held in each of the 4 City Council Districts citywide.
