Join us on Friday, July 12th, 2019, 7:30 pm on the east side of the Roundhouse in Santa Fe for a Lights for Liberty vigil to end human detention camps. This is a nationwide event that will bring thousands of Americans together across the country, with their neighbors, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by refugees.
Beginning at 7:30 pm on July 12th, community leaders, activists from the Santa Fe Dreamers Project and Somos Un Pueblo Unido, and concerned neighbors will come together to speak about what we can do to help end this inhumane policy. At 9 pm, around the country and around the world, participants will light candles in a silent vigil for all those held in US detention camps, separated from their families, to bring light to the darkness of the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
The Democratic Party of Santa Fe County is sponsoring the vigil. Bring your candles and please join us. Interpreting services will be provided for deaf and hard of hearing participants.
