The second National Popular Vote Public Forum with New Mexico Senator Mimi Stewart, just three days before the 2019 legislative session opens, will provide the most recent National Popular Vote updates, include a legislative focus, and build on the first (“heads-up”) event, though no previous participation is needed.

The National Popular Vote is an integral part of the Democratic Party of Santa Fe County’s official platform and will guarantee the U.S. presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The free forum is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Santa Fe County and open to the general public. Seating will be limited, so plan to arrive early.

This is an exciting legislative year for New Mexico! Please join Senator Daniel Ivey-Soto, Vice Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Cliff Rees, Director of Policy and Legislative Liaison for Lt. Governor Howie C. The Santa Fe County Federation of Democratic Women will have its official 1st quarter general meeting to confirm our new Vice President.  After meeting adjournment, those who wishing to stay late and make posters for the 2019 Women’s March scheduled the following day (January 19), we will have supplies available.  We’d like to have a potluck so we can have something to eat as we work.  Please bring a dish of your choice.

IT’S TIME TO MARCH AGAIN! Join us to celebrate our community, honor our solidarity and keep the momentum going – from ripples to waves, we did this together!

The Federation of Democratic Women and the Santa Fe County Democrats will gather at 10 am on the sidewalk at the east side of the Roundhouse. Bring your signs, look for our banners, and join us!

We’ll start marching at 11 am down Old Santa Fe Trail to the Santa Fe Plaza, where creative presentations and speeches will be shared from 12 noon to 2 pm. Click here for more info.

Ward 3C meets on the third sunday of the month at the Sandia Labs Federal Credit Union. Ward 3C  represents precincts 15, 73, 84. These are the three precincts in Edgewood that are in Congressional District 1.
