The Democratic Party of Santa Fe County gives notice of the upcoming County Central Committee meeting to elect a First Vice-Chair, Second Vice-Chair, consider an amendment to the DPSFC Rules and to elect one State Central Committee member replacement (male). Details of the meeting are as follows:
When: Saturday, September 28, 2019
Where: Gonzales Community School Gymnasium, 851 W. Alameda, Santa Fe, NM 87501
Registration: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Call to Order: 10:30 a.m.
Proxy voting will be permitted in accordance with DPNM Rule 9-2.E. The proxy form for the September 28th, 2019 meeting has been sent to all CCC members. A proxy is “valid only when voted by a registered Democrat of the same ward as the person giving the proxy.” No CCC member may carry more than three proxies.
If you wish to run for First Vice Chair (male), Second Vice Chair (female) or the State Central Committee (male) replacement, we will post your 100-word personal statement on the DPSFC website and email your statement to all CCC members. Personal statements will be posted in the order received and compiled emailed statements will go out on September 19th and September 25th. Please send your statements (100-word limit) to email@example.com.
Our order of business:
- elect the County Party First Vice Chair (male) for the balance of the 2019-2021 term.
- elect the County Party Second Vice Chair (female) for the balance of the 2019-2021 term
- consider an amendment to the DPSFC Rules, namely the Code of Conduct that was distributed earlier for the Open Comment period which closed on September 6th. The Rules & Credentials Committee is reviewing the comments received and will send the revised amendment and responses to submitted comments on September 13th.
- elect one CD-3 State Central Committee member (male) to replace one member who passed away earlier this year. Gender balance is required for members of the SCC, so we will select another male for this position.
The Credentials Committee will meet on Friday, September 27 at 6:00 p.m. at 1420 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM to address any challenges which must have been filed in writing prior to that time.
