The "true cost" of Iraq is scaring me about McCain saying that he wants to stay there forever! After he said 100 years, he was questioned about this at another appearance and he said "why not 1,000 years or until Global Warming stops." In other words, we will never stop occupying the country. It costs $two billion dollars every three days to be there. Some of the expenses are not recorded so we don't know how much we are spending, but obviously it could bankrupt us.

The statistics are staggering: 60% of the Iraq workforce is unemployed another 30% is underemployed based on the jobs they had before the war. Average wages are less than $300.00 a month. Health care is nonexistent. Nearly 5 million refugees were caused by the American preemptive invasion and occupation of Iraq. Estimates of 100,000 to a million civilians killed and nearly the same amount wounded. Electricity to 90% of the county is less than 9 hours a day. Some 3,000 schools rebuilt after the American bombing have been rebuilt 4 and 5 times after terrorist strikes. Children are afraid to go to school. This is the greatest humanitarian crisis since the turn of the millennium. Thank you G.W. Bush-Cheney & Company!
